Scott Edward Ross, 57, passed away January 1, 2024 in his home in Dallas, TX. He was born on October 16, 1966 in Oklahoma City, OK to W.A. "Dub" and Dorothy Ross. He attended Windsor Hills Schools in Oklahoma City and graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a degree in Physical Education. He went on to graduate from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, TX with a Master's degree in Kinesiology. After graduation, he became a weight training and strengthening coach for the athletics program at TCU. He loved living in the Dallas community and made many friends there.
He worked as conditioning coach at SMU, TCU, and UNT. Following his career at TCU, he became involved in the travel tour industry, and specialized in procuring travel arrangements for students and adults for athletic events and international travel. During this time, he was able to travel worldwide and his ever-ready travel companion was his mother, Dorothy.
Scott enjoyed watching college and pro football, and his favorite team was the Miami Dolphins.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Ross; former spouse, Susan Ross; and brother Mark Ross. He is survived by his father; brothers; Mike Ross, Steve Ross and Jerry Ross and their families.
A family/friend's visitation at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service will take place from 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 9, followed by a private burial at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 10.
