Nadine was born August 4, 1925 in Carthage, Missouri to Harriet and Mart Holdeman. After graduating from high school, she was a bookkeeper at the Carthage Creamery for several years. While working there, she met Jim Sprenkle whom she married on October 14, 1949. Nadine retired from the work force after the birth of her daughter and devoted her energies to caring for her family. She was a wonderful, caring, and dedicated mother. She also excelled in the kitchen and made the best fried chicken, pizza, and cinnamon rolls! Everyone always looked forward to her holiday meals and Christmas candy. Nadine resided in Oklahoma City for many years, but moved to Morganton, North Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law with whom she lived until a period of declining health necessitated a move to a retirement community. While living in Morganton, she was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the Dorcas Sunday School class and volunteering in the church kitchen. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three siblings; sister, Leota, and brothers, Emerald and Sonny. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Rush, son-in-law, Dathan Rush, and beloved granddog, Gracie. She was laid to rest beside her husband in Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
