Samuel (Sam) T. Wilder, Jr., 63, passed away early Monday morning after a sudden heart attack. He was born to Samuel Wilder, Sr. and Eleanor Wilder in West Palm, Florida. Sam served and retired from the United States Army after 21 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a road cyclist enthusiast and would always be found on the road with his bike. Sam is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandra; sons, Sam Wilder, III and his partner, Brian Ferrell, and Kenneth Wilder; daughters, Steffanie McDade and her fiance Les Bell, and Julie Brim and her husband, Dillon Brim; granddaughter, Katie Wilder; grandson, Logan McDade; and great granddaughter, Ellianna Brim. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Wilder. Visitation will be Thursday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011, at Mercer-Adams Chapel. Reception will follow the service at the home of Sam Wilder, III at 1936 NW 17th, Oklahoma City.
