Samuel Kennedy, 61, passed away May 24, 2015. He was born August 7, 1953, at Wesley Hospital in OKC. At the time of Sam's passing, he was an Ambassador for the Oklahoma City Police Department, a job that he dearly loved and was appreciated for. Sam was raised a Baptist. He married Cathy Kennedy, who also works for the Oklahoma City Police Department in the Records department, on September 28th, 2002. They made their home in Oklahoma City. Sam was an interesting man. He played in several rock and roll bands, including one who toured with and opened for the group Styx both locally and in Texas. He had an interest in photography and opened Dasaga Photographic in the late 70's. Sam also enjoyed martial arts and achieved the rank of 3rd degree black belt and 7th degree black belt in karate. Sam is survived by his wife, Cathy Kennedy, his daughters, Dr. Desiree Kennedy and Shawna Kennedy, his stepdaughters, Andrea Masters and Erica McCurley, brother, Willam "Butch" Kennedy, and sister, Janet Arnold. Sam was preceded in death by his father, William Albert Kennedy and mother, Indaola Kennedy, and by his brother, William C. Kennedy.
