Sadie Lou Coleman was born on October 8, 1930 in Dallas, TX to Earnest Paul Rougeou and Sadie Lucille Waters. She passed away May 22, 2021. Sadie was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, F. M. and Lula Waters. She became Mrs. Sidney Vaughn Coleman on August 6, 1948. During her long life, she worked as a bookkeeper for TP Railroad and for Southwest Airlines. She was privileged to meet the owner, Herb Keller, on several occasions. Sadie had many God-given talents. She had a green thumb, could sew, tat, knit and crochet. She was an incredible painter and artist. But most of all she loved her church and HER children. Sadie taught everything from Sunday School to Vacation Bible School, to Quizzing to Cub Scouts. She had a passion for travel, nationally and internationally. Also, she was a formidable player of dominos. Sadie Lou is survived by her children, Rebecca (David) Sipes and William (Alice) Coleman; grandchildren, Kelli Sipes (Jacson), Bill (Tosha) Sipes and Barron Coleman (Maggie); great-grandchildren, Camryn and Jonathan Sipes; siblings, Corinda (Norwood) King, John Nash and Jerry Roberts, and many nieces and nephews. Sadie had been a member of Dallas First Nazarene and Hampton Road Baptist Church, both in DeSoto, Texas. We would like to thank Baptist Village Retirement Center of OKC for their compassion. Memorial services will be Saturday, June 5, 2:30pm at Metroplex Fellowship Nazarene Church. To share a memory or condolence, visit www.mercer-adams.com.
