Sept. 15, 1920 - May 26, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Ruth Sims, 90, of Oklahoma City, passed away Thursday at Bellevue Nursing Center. Mrs. Sims was retired from Dillards and along with her late husband, ''Red,'' were longtime owners of Sims Grocery. She had been a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church for over sixty years. She loved to travel the world and never met a stranger. She loved flowers, reading, music, cooking and made a mean meat loaf and pot roast. She truly lived and loved life to the fullest. Mrs. Sims is survived by her four children, Sharon and her husband John of Edmond, Oklahoma, Larry Sims of Texarkana, Texas, Bruce Sims and LuAnn Cravens, both of Oklahoma City, and a sister, Geraldine Polando of Moyers, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1p.m. Saturday at the Portland Avenue Baptist Church, 1301 North Portland in Oklahoma City with Dr. Walter Mullican and Larry Sims officiating.
