Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the children of Ruth Victorine Seale announce her passing on October 7, 2020. Born in Tabler, Oklahoma on July 15, 1935, Ruth was the beloved daughter of the late Sherman and Edith Clark. Ruth graduated and moved to Oklahoma City to attend Draughons Business School. There she met the love of her life, James Seale, and they married on June 25, 1955. For the next 60 years this matriarch and devoted mother dedicated her life to her family and service to others. Ruth's hope and faith guided us all of our lives, but it was her love and caring that made a comfortable home for us and made each person who crossed the threshold feel welcome. Ruth had the gifts of hospitality, generosity and kindness, welcoming everyone into her home for a delicious meal or lively conversation. Large family dinners were the norm each Sunday after church and friends would clamor for a bite of her famous peach cobbler. She was an extraordinary cook. Her generosity of spirit knew no bounds as she volunteered for the church, made meals for those who were sick or welcoming a new child, or lent a hand to family or friends when times were tough. Her willingness to help others and her thoughtfulness knew no bounds. These acts of kindness and compassion are a true testament to her legacy of love that she shared with those in her life. Ruths gift of unconditional love was tireless; her greatest gift to us. Ruth mostly cherished time with her children, whom she is survived by: daughter, Denise Baxter and husband Danny of Duncan, OK; daughter, Dana Bowen and husband John of Moore, OK; son, Todd Seale and wife Lorri of Yukon, OK; son, Kyle Seale and wife Penny of Piedmont, OK; eight grandchildren: Brooke Christianson, LaLacia Kane, Nick Mathis, Kaleah Moates, Daniel Baxter, Chad Baxter, Zachary Bowen and Cayman Seale; and seven great-grandchildren: Hunter, Myla, Haven, Rhea, Briar, Eli, and Elise; and five sisters. Ruths husband, James, preceded her in death on April 14, 2020. Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Sherman (Sonny), Rheta, Arnold, Lyndel, and Laurencene.
