LAUBACH, Ruth Eleanor, age 83, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2011. Born and raised in Neenah, Wisconsin, she moved to Oklahoma City in 1947 to marry the love of her life, Jay Laubach. They were married for 39 years until his passing in 1986. Ruth and Jay resided in Derby, Kansas for many years and were members of Faith Lutheran Church where Ruth volunteered in many different areas from Alter Guild to Sunday School teacher. In 1972, Ruth and Jay and their daughters moved back to Oklahoma City. Ruth worked at Integris Baptist Hospital until her retirement and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she volunteered at Mid-Week Bible School and Mobile Meals. She liked to sew, crochet, knit and scrapbook. After her retirement from Integris Baptist Hospital, she began knitting baby caps for the newborn babies. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay, daughter Cheryl, parents Russell and Eleanor Gullickson, and sister Marilyn Mitchell. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Dahl and husband Alan, and Lori Hedinger and husband Ralph; grandchildren Michael Brackett and his wife Brittany; Brandon, Joshua, Hannah and Hayley Dahl; and great grandchildren Adika, April and Zayden Brackett. Ruth is also survived by her brother Russell Gullickson of Neehan, Wisconsin as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends. Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK with graveside services at 3:00 p.m. in El Paso Cemetery, Derby, KS.
