Ruth Elaine Jackson, 91, died February 7, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born July 17, 1930 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Hue and Ora (Lee) Anderson. She married William Henry Jackson in 1949 in Gallipolis, Ohio. A homemaker, she worked as the Catering Manager at Cameron College for a brief time before becoming a homemaker again. Ruth was a member since childhood at Paint Creek Baptist Church in Ohio. She was baptized in 1944 when she was 14 years old. An avid reader, she was a critic for new authors. She enjoyed crocheting and made hats for everyone she loved. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children and grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Billy, in 2000; 3 sisters, and one brother. Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Rhodes, Ora Merhib and husband Ronald, and Billie Jean Dellosa and husband Antonio; sons, William Jackson, Jr., and Stephen "Pepi" Jackson; grandchildren, Jamal and wife, Michelle, Jason and wife, Jasmine, Johnlee, Lisa and husband, Clint, Arhmad and wife, Keisha, Dominique, Marquis, Pierce, Blake, Eva, Sean, Nicholas, Tony, Mike and Ally; great-grandchildren, Alecse, Emma, Tylas, Alayna, Julin, Ava, Leo, Christelma, Lincoln, Grace, Justice, Elijah, Caris, Cruz, Gabriel, Michael, Jr., Lonnie and Melvin; great-great grandchild, Brody; Rosie, Bobbett, Marlene and other extended family members in Ohio; and lifelong friends of the Ray family. Viewing for Ruth will be Thursday, February 10, 9am-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services to honor her life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, February 11 at Maranatha Baptist Church with interment in Ft.
