Obituary

Ruby Geraline Thalman, 80, died November 15, 2010. She was born January 24, 1930 in Purcell, Oklahoma to James and Nettie (Anderson) Ferguson. She married Albert Leon Thalman November 14, 1969 in Oklahoma City. A member of First Baptist Church in Moore, she was a former member of Putnam City Baptist Church. Ruby loved to cook and always ate dessert first. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. Her relationship to her brothers and sisters was always close-knit. She loved life and loved people. Every event was a celebration. She loved the Lord deeply, and through that love was able to love everyone in an unforgettable way. Ruby truly was a precious gem that brought life into the lives of everyone she met. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Velma Anderson and Marceille Griffith, and brothers Edward, Kenneth, and Carl Ferguson. She is survived by her husband, Albert; daughters, Donna Edwards and husband Ed of Bethany, Sherry Beair and husband Charlie of Tulsa, Debbie Hamilton and husband Don of Tulsa; son, Dan Thalman of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters Martha Naomi Stewart of Norman, Marceda Davis of Newcastle, Jimmie Dean and husband Clifford of Newcastle; brothers Delbert Ferguson and wife Audrey of OKC, Donnie Ferguson of Norman; grandchildren Zachary and Jacquelyn Edwards, Laura Hausner, Kristal Black, Ben and Stacie Hamilton, Amanda and Barbara Thalman; and great-grandchildren Zachary and Brett Edwards, and Shawn Hausner. Services will be Friday, November 19, 2:00 p.m. at Putnam City Baptist Church with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
