Our beautiful mother, Ruby J. Jones, traded her earthly tent for a crown on the morning of January 10, 2019.
She was preceded in death by loving wonderful parents, Vivian and Luther Donham; dear brother, Artis Donham; and precious son, Bill Dunn, who died too soon. Others with whom our lives were shared: Garrell Dunn, Leonard Diehl, and Richard Jones.
Ruby is survived by daughters and husbands, Judy and Mark Diehl and Cindy and Ted Prince; grandson, Matthew Diehl; granddaughters, Carrie Helm (Jimmy), Jenny Rader (JD), Emily Coursey (Levi Tepsic); great-grandsons, Lucas and David Helm; and great-granddaughter Ruby Rader. Also, Steve Diehl and Chelsea Diehl, Candy Donham and cherished friends, Peggy, Margaret and Melvin, Barbara, Kristin, Lynda, Shelly, Kathlyn, Karmen, and Sunday School class members too numerous to mention.
What can we say about Mother Nothing seems adequate. Her life was full. She was a ministers wife, private piano and voice teacher, vocal music teacher K-8, an English teacher of 6th-8th, a lover of poetry and quotations, her patriotism for our country was fierce and her love for Gods Word impacted each one of us for a lifetime. There was always a mouth-watering aroma of cookies coming from her kitchen. She adored her grandchildren and great-grands! She loved us deeply and always listened to us with her heart.
Mom loved wearing bright colors, so to honor her, wear your favoritebecause as she recently said, "This will be no time for sadness, but for JOY!"
"Death is not extinguishing the light. It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come."
