Ruby Nell Shortie Daniel died Dec. 6, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital after a short battle with an internal illness. Shortie was born July 21, 1924 in Amber, OK to Hershel and Lula Odom. An avid bridge player, she was active in charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Darla, and brother Keith. Shortie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ernie; son Dick; sister Elaine; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Fri., Dec. 9, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment at 3:30pm in Pocasset Cemetery, Pocasset, OK.
