Roy Chris "Sandy" Harris, III, 78, died October 7, 2022 in Yukon, OK. He was born August 28, 1944 in OKC, OK to Roy and Marianne (Lytle) Harris. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1962 where he was a mid-state conference and state wrestling champion. After high school, he accepted a wrestling scholarship to OSU where he graduated. He also was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Sandy was the owner of Mat Trotters Gymnastics. He never went anywhere that he didn't run into his former students. Sandy was involved for many years with Big Brothers and made a huge impact on the lives of several special young men. Sandy was preceded in death by his parents and dear friend, Bob Yount. Survivors include his wife, Diane Driskill, and her son, Jeff Driskill, and 3 grandchildren, Audra, Selena, Blaine, Skoshi and husband Kyle and 4 great-grandchildren, Ariana, Loreli, Blakeleigh, and Kal; sister, Gaytra Anne Coggins, and nephews, Peter J. Gootos, M.D. and wife Leslie, and Chris J. Gootos, and great-nieces and nephews, Phillip, Maddie, Drew, Chris, C.J, and Nick; adopted "little brothers" Jerry Walkabout and Corey Shelton; and many, many beloved friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, October 13, 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene where services will be live streamed on the church website at bethanynaz.org/live. .
