Ross David Hearn, 69, of Oklahoma City, born 11/8/39, passed away 12/18/08. Born to Jesse A. and Mildred N. Hearn in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ross grew up in South Oklahoma City and graduated from Southeast High School in 1958. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 4 yrs. Afterward, he served the Army National Guard in Norman for 11 years and then the Air National Guard full-time until he retired in 1979 with a total of 21 years of service. After retiring from the military, he worked as a petroleum landman until his death. Ross was married to Bonnie Wright Hearn of Oklahoma City and they were blessed with two beautiful children. He was married to his current wife, Jeannie, for 26 wonderful years. Ross loved baseball and football, and was an avid OU fan. He was a member of Cherokee Hills Church of Christ. Ross is survived by wife Jeannie of the home; stepmother Loretta Hearn of Ardmore; son Scott Hearn and wife Sonya of Moore; daughter Shelley Burgett and son-in-law David of Moore; stepdaughter Ramona Wellborn of Folkston, Georgia; grandchildren Becky Akers, Johnnie Ross Hearn, Breanna Burgett, Hailey Burgett and great-granddaughter Lexi Akers, all of Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mildred Hearn and one great-granddaughter, Emily. Ross was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and will be missed dearly. Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany with burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
