Obituary

Rosemary Ann (Babiak) Eason, 88, of Bethany, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2019. She was born December 19, 1930 in OKC to Walter J. and Eugenia "Jessie" (Kosinski) Babiak, and was proud of her familys hard working Polish immigrant heritage. Rosemary attended Bishop John Caroll High School, where she was an Honor Latin Student. She married Kenneth E. Eason on November 14, 1948. They moved to Tulsa in 1953, where they made many life-long friends on South Oswego Street. After moving to Bethany in 1961, Rosemary began her working career at Franklins dress shop in Windsor Hills, and the Baptist Hospital Childrens World day care center. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Society and Mobile Meals. She is remembered by her loved ones as a beloved mother and mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was one of caring deeply for her family and friends, and she was an inspiration to all. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth E. Eason; sister, Dorothy Babiak; daughter, Denise Eason; and grandson, Steve Bourland. She is survived by daughter, Marty Bourland and husband, Mike; son, Ken Eason and wife, Jeanette; son, David Eason and wife Nita; son, Jeff Eason and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Chris Bourland, Jeffry Mullenax, Rusty Eason, David Eason, and April Price; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Friday, September 13 from 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer Adams Funeral Service, 3925 North Asbury Avenue, Bethany, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 14 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5024 North Grove, Oklahoma City, OK. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org/ or the Alzheimers Association at alz.org.
