Obituary

Rosemarie Chase, 84, of Oklahoma City passed away on June 20, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1940 to Hugo Dittmer and Anna (Frehse) Dittmer in Haffkrug, Germany. She came to the United States in 1964 and married Alan Chase on December 17, 1970 in Los Angeles, CA.

Rosemarie was a wonderful wife and mother who devoted herself to the love and care of her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and dearly. She loved nature, gardening, animals, praise music, and gentle, beautiful things which she shared with her family and friends. She had a deep love for Jesus, read and meditated on the Bible every single day, and shared her testimony and love for the Lord with everyone who would listen. She grew up on the Baltic Sea of northern Germany and for all her life she enjoyed long walks by the water, cold weather, and time simply spent outdoors. She was pure in both heart and spirit, sought ways to minister and care for anyone who needed help, and loved others with all her heart. She was known simply as "Mutti" to her children, and as "Omi" to her grandchildren.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents; beloved spouse of 50 years, Alan Chase; and her sister, Ursula Kopitzki. She is survived by her children, Christopher Chase and Robin Chase; and her three grandchildren, Christian Chase, Amelia Chase, and Austin Chase; along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 2pm at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
