Rose Evelyn McAfee went to be with Jesus on March 14, 2015. Her life was filled by sharing His love from the time of her childhood conversion into her mature adulthood. The greatest wish she had was that every single person in her family would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Rose shared her faith with everyone who was close because she wanted every person in her life to know about the love of God. She is now living what she believed her whole life would exist, an eternal life with Christ. Rose was born in Pine Bluff Arkansas and was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Mae Fisher and John Martin Fisher. She had four brothers and was preceded in death by Jack Fisher, Ralph Fisher, and Harold Fisher. She has one surviving brother, Warren Fisher of Yukon. She is survived by her husband, L.E. (Mac) McAfee with whom she celebrated over 57 years of marriage beginning June 14, 1957. The couple lived their entire life in Oklahoma City and were members of Council Road Baptist Church. Rose gave birth to three children. She is survived by Kevin and wife Lynn McAfee of Franklin, Tennessee, Karen and Mike Dodson of Oklahoma, and Kappi and Matt Christensen of Arizona. The grandchildren are Michael McAfee, Lauren McAfee, Matthew Bear McAfee and mother Terri McAfee, Kandace and Jerrod Taylor, Kalan and Kallie Dodson, Avery Rose Christensen and Lynn's daughters Rebecca Sharp of London, Julia and Rachel Sharp of Franklin; along with a host of relatives, nieces and nephews with the McAfee and Fisher families. The family finally wishes to thank Dr. Katherine Moxley at the OU Health Center and Dr. Matthew Britt for his loving care and direction. The Memorial Service for Rose McAfee will be held at 10:30am on March 19, 2015 at Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 N. Council Road, Bethany, OK. Reverend Norman Behymer will preside from Council Road Baptist Church with the sermon by Reverend Jack Thompson. Flowers can be sent to Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.
