Rose E. Hayes, longtime Bethany resident, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2016. She was born July 25, 1934 to Laro and Juanita Eagan in Oklahoma City, OK. Rose married her true love, Joe F. Hayes in 1951 and they spent almost 50 wonderful years together. In 1963, Joe and Rose started Hayes Electric, giving 24 dedicated years to their business and retired in 1987 to Lake Tenkiller at Cookson, OK. Rose was an active member of Cookson Baptist Church until she moved back to Bethany in 2009. She then became an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bethany. She enjoyed living life to the fullest. Rose was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe. She is survived by her son, Gary Hayes and wife Barbara of Bethany, OK; daughter, Brenda Truitt and husband Ron of Tryon, OK; five grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends. Viewing will be Monday 11:00am-9:00pm with family present from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury Ave., Bethany, OK 73008. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
