Obituary

Rose Marie Floyd, 60, passed away November 15, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born July 13, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK to Bernley and Geraldine (Smith) Simms. She was a sales associate for several retail department stores. She also worked at Northridge Elementary as a teachers aide, as well as being affectionately known as the "ice cream lady." For most of her life she enjoyed being a homemaker. She belonged to the Girl Scouts, Silver Strings, and was a big O.U. fan. She also served as a loving foster parent. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, William and George Simms, and Rick Young. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, William "Bill"; daughter, Amie Cason and husband Mitchell, and their son, Elijah Cason; son, Billy Floyd; sisters, Linda Merrick, Norma Eddy, Beverly Rains, Gladys Lujan, Debbie Franklynn and Peggy Yearsley. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, November 19, 12:00 noon at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. .
