Granny Brown heard the fish were biting on the big pond so she grabbed her fishing gear and left to fish with the Big Fisherman on September 20, 2014. Rosie was born May 4, 1922 to Raymond A. "Shorty" and Alice (Dietrich) Hutchinson in Oklahoma City. They, along with her younger brother Raymond, moved to Bethany in 1934. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1940 and remained a loyal alumnus until her death. She joined Putnam City Methodist Church when she was a teenager and recently changed her membership to Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene where she and her husband John had attended for many years. Rosie married John T. Brown on January 10, 1945 in Edmond, OK. They had three children. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Barbara; and a brother, Raymond Hutchinson II. Survivors include her daughter Sheila Brown, of Oklahoma City; son Phil Brown and wife Denise of Piedmont; four grandchildren, Porscha Lopez, Chris Wood, Allison Henrichs and Dr. Stacy McLeod. She had 15 great grandchildren: Mason, Gage, Ayden, Trinity, Brittany, Tori, Jacob, Elizabeth, Anna Rose, Blake, Jake, Kade, Katie, Lena and Josie, along with 2 great great grandchildren, Tanner and Abigail. Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 23 from 9am to 9pm with the family present from 6 - 8pm. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, September 24 at Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene, with entombment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
