Obituary

Rosalee C. Adams was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, on November 16, 1926. She was the youngest of six children born to Stephen Henry Casey, Sr. and Nellie Frances Taylor. She departed this life on May 20, 2015. Her father was Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Kingfisher at the time she was born. Her siblings were: Pauline Casey Farmer, Helen Casey Bengs, Stephen H. Casey, Jr., Harold E. Casey, and Robert E. Casey. All of the above family preceded her in death. As is customary with many pastors, her father was the Pastor in several towns in Oklahoma and went on to pastor his last church in San Diego, California for approximately 15 years. Rosalee graduated from Grosmont Union High School in La Mesa, California in June of 1944. She worked in the Engineering Department for Consolidated Aircraft Corp during WWII. In 1945, she went to Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated in 1949 with a degree in Journalism and English. She would later go on to work for Aetna Life Insurance Company as a Bookkeeper for 22 years, until she retired in 1980. It was at OBU where she met and married William B. Heising, the father of her only daughter, Debra Lee Ely, presently living in Carrollton, Texas, with her husband Kevin. Rosalee is survived by one grandson, Christopher B. Ely, his wife, Katie, and their two daughters, Gabby and Hazel. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Lori M. Ely. Rosalee was the proud Aunt of her loving 13 nieces and nephews. After the passing of William Heising in 1964, Rosalee married Woodrow W. Adams in March of 1973. Woody passed away in January of 2011, which led Rosalee to make the move to Carrollton, Texas to live with Debbie and Kevin. Rosalee was a Breast Cancer survivor since 1990 and a Lymphoma Cancer survivor since 2009. Many times she had said she knew she was here for a reason. To God be the glory! Funeral Service Tuesday, May 26, 2015 10:00 AM Mercer-Adams Chapel 3925 N. Asbury Bethany, OK 73008
