Obituary

Ronald Dean Ingram, 76, passed away February 18, 2024 after battling heart and kidney disease for the last several years of his life. He was born July 8, 1947 in Helena, Arkansas to Benny and Dixie Ingram. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the destroyer U.S.S Henderson. He became a journeyman sheet metal craftsman who loved his work and was an active member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union.

Ron was a hard-working role model for his children and grandchildren. He loved to garden, to read books of any and all genres, movies, and traveling. He was a deacon and a member of the choir at Baptist Temple Church in Oklahoma City and his faith was an integral part of who he was.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Cheryl Ingram; his brother, Steve Ingram; and his granddaughter, Kara Fletcher.

He is survived by daughters, Jayne Ann Shover and April Fletcher; son-in-law, Kevin Fletcher; grandsons, Julian Shover and Logan Shover; granddaughter-in-law, Anna Shover; and great-grandchildren, Addy Barnes, Ariela Shover and Elias Shover.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams Chapel will be Friday, March 1 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK.
