He was carpenter and a painter. He worked at Macklenburg Duncan, then he went to work at Dayton Tire Co. and retired from there after 30 years of service at the age of 55. He loved to go 4-wheeling. He loved watching old black and white movies especially old westerns. At the time of his death, he was working on restoring a 1940 Buick. He was very much a people person with a wonderful sense of humor and like his Dad, he never met a stranger. He loved having family and friends over for cookouts and getting together with his retirement buddies for breakfast or lunch. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, David. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deanna; son, Scott; daughters, Torie and husband David Nelson, Lisa and husband Greg Hull; granddaughters, Jessica, Shaye, Brynan and Alyssa; two great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; sisters, Mary and Pat; and brother, Charles.
