Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Wayne Humphries, 65, died January 2, 2020 in Ada, OK. He was born in Oklahoma City on December 22, 1954. He graduated from John Marshall High School. He was a firefighter and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served as a firefighter at Tinker Air Force Base. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, westerns, especially (John Wayne movies), firearms, scuba diving and race cars. Ron loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Northup; stepfather, Marvin Coots; and brother, Richard Maine. He is survived by his daughters, Amie Combs and Chris Colston, April Stricklin and husband Johnny, Ann Humphries and Ken Weese; grandchildren, Meghann Shetley and husband Trevor, Darren Stricklin and Sarah Waters, Baleigh Stricklin and Alex Kuyrkendall, Matthew Humphries and Kayann Matanane, Jazmin Hammons and Myles Moore, Alexia Olson, Lizzy Olson and Savannah Olson; great grandchildren, Sawyer Shetley, Leigh Anna Stricklin, Brylynn Matanane; brother, Rod Coots; and sisters, Theresa Austin, Gayla Jones, Lisa Lahti, Angela Kirkes. Family and friends gathering will be from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, January 7 at Mercer-Adams.
