Ronald Lee Gripe, 78, passed away November 18, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK with his daughters at his side. He was born November 9, 1946 in Thomas, OK to Theo and Ethel (Hooper) Gripe. He graduated from Thomas High School in 1965 and enjoyed keeping in touch with his classmates on their text group. Ron went on to earn his master's degree from Southwestern State College (now Southwestern Oklahoma State University). Ron married the love of his life, Nancy Eyster, on June 3, 1972 and they were married for over 50 years.

Ron was a high school counselor at Yukon Public Schools, where he retired after more than 30 years of service. He was a longtime active member of Council Road Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. His family was important to him and he loved supporting his children and grandchildren in all their activities. Nancy passed away in 2023, and Ron served as a loving caregiver for 12 years before her death. His kindness and generosity extended far beyond his family as he consistently cared for others in need.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy and sweet granddaughter, Lu. He is survived by his daughters, Kendra Crabtree (husband Tommy) and Amanda Lile; grandchildren, Corbin, Baylee, Campbell, Sophie, Georgia, Davis, Caleb, Lily, Houston, Metek, Greyson, Manny and Goldie; and beloved neighbors, Tammy and Billy Mickle.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Sunday, 12-8pm with family present from 4-6pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 10:00am at Council Road Baptist Church with interment in Yukon Cemetery.
