Ron E. Cantwell, 59, died unexpectedly October 19, 2011 in OKC. He was born Dec. 7, 1951 in Duncan, OK, the son of Carl Albert and Ida Louise (Hale) Cantwell. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Stella Wassall on Jan. 6, 1973 in New Jersey. He was the plant manager at Schwarz Asphalt Co. He worked previously for Toledo Scales and CMI, both in OKC, and Hawaiian Bitumuls in Hawaii. He was an avid fisherman who especially loved fishing with his mother. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Stella; his mother, Louise of Warr Acres; his daughter, Connie Brandt and her husband Richard of Yukon; brother, Ronnie, Jr. of Dallas, TX; sisters, Dianna Beasley and husband Rick of New Orleans and Cathy Davis and husband Chuck of Edmond; and grandchildren, Antonia and Annalee Brandt, and Hunter Joseph Cantwell. Visitation will be Friday, 9am-9pm with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 22, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
