Roger ONeil Smith, 72, went to be with all of his loved ones in Heaven on February 21st, 2022. Roger was born to Vertrice Mae Smith and Dillard Doyal Smith on December 29th, 1949. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Smith; his sons, Roger and Jeremiah Smith; grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, Isabella, Griffin, and Price; his mother, Vertrice; sisters, Odessa, Peggy, and Retha; and his brother, Paul. He was preceded in death by his father, Dillard, and his brothers, Gary and Clint. Roger was a devout Christian who loved to study the Bible. He attended Rhema Bible College in 1998 and studied pastoral care. He led Bible studies and held crusades around Oklahoma with a group that he formed called Park Soldiers. He focused on Biblical teaching, evangelized, and served as a board member at his local Church. He was also a successful entrepreneur who established several businesses including restaurants, convenience stores, and a linen company. Roger loved spending time with all of his family and particularly enjoyed playing cards, bowling, watching sports, and was an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan. He attended Mercy Road Community Church where a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 3 p.m. .
