Roberta Faye Blackwood passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. She was born February 12, 1940 in Konawa, OK to Virgil and Gurtha (Branscum) Cummings. In high school, she received numerous awards including being elected homecoming queen & being named to the All-State Basketball team. Roberta enjoyed watching OU and the Thunder on TV. She was very athletic and would play softball and tennis with the best of them. She collected Elvis memorabilia and visited Graceland yearly. She always said "Everyone is awesome" and was the most selfless person you would ever know. She always brightened the room with her smile and never complained about anything. Her pride and joy was her children and grandchildren whom she very much adored. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryan Joe Blackwood; sisters, Doris Henthorn and Barbara Johnson. She is survived by son, Greg (Dana) Blackwood; daughters, Debbie (Richard) Witt and Donna (Jeff) Alexander; brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Herman Cummings; sister, Kathy Kelly; 9 grandchildren, Kelly, Kristopher, Deanna, Krystal, Brian, Brooke, Zachary, Taylor and Trent; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Mercer Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
