Robert L. Bob Zielny passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on November 5, 2009. He was born on November 12, 1931 in Britton, OK to Lewis Zielny and Mary Baranski Zielny. He graduated from Wellston High School and then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bob farmed for many years and, after retiring from FAA, he worked at Resurrection Cemetery until he could no longer work. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Mary Ellen Zielny of the home; 5 children, Marla and Larry Lawson of Guthrie, OK, Jeff Zielny and Rick Landtroop of Oklahoma City, OK, Melissa and Frank Maguire of Piedmont, OK, Terri and Rick Story of Yukon, OK, Kendal and Natalie Zielny of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Michael Lawson and wife Amanda of Guthrie, OK, Chad Story and wife Kelsey of El Paso, TX, Tyler, Shelby and Carley Story of Yukon, OK, James, Zack and Sean Maguire of Piedmont, OK, Zane and Piper Zielny of Oklahoma City, OK, and great-grandchild Jackson Lawson of Guthrie, OK. Special thanks to Verna Robinson for her special care of Bob over the last 3 years. Viewing will be Sunday, noon to 9:00pm with Funeral Services held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 9, 2009 at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
