Obituary

Robert Milton Wyatt, 99, passed away September 27, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on October 14, 1926, in Gainesville, TX to Lowell and Charlcie (Ribble) Wyatt. He married Geanne Kelly and they enjoyed more than 50 years together before her death in 2025.

Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service to his country. Following his military career, he began a second career as a purchasing agent for the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, where he served for another 20 years before retiring.

In the early 1970s, Robert won the German National Sharpshooter Championship and went on to win every pistol competition he entered. He enjoyed building model airplanes and had a deep love and affection for his two cats, Muddy and Nosy, who brought him much companionship and joy.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Geanne, and son, Frank Wyatt.

He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Grote and Patricia Hill; 5 grandchildren, Frank, Chris, Patrick, Brandon and John; 12 great-grandchildren, Seth, Jacob, Noah, Baker, Kenna, Lucas, Bella, Jaxon, Logan, Quaid, Anabelle and Alex; best friend, Sharon Zelinger; and caregiver, Susan Scott.

Robert's family is grateful for the loving care of the Right at Home team and VA doctors and nurses, especially Lesley, Leah and Kay.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 2 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
