Robert Ramson Sevier was born March 2, 1938 in Jacksonville, Tennessee to the late Lee Isaac Sevier and Rose Miller Sevier. Robert left Tennessee at a very early age. After a brief illness, the Lord called Robert home June 24, 2011. He is the second oldest of six children. After finishing his education in Chicago, he later went on to join the United States Army where he served his country honorably. He united in matrimony with Jean Elizabeth Pitt-Sevier. Through this union, a Godly and profound relationship flourished. Robert and his family were baptized together at Garfield Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, where they attended. Robert feared the Lord and lived by The Ten Commandments. He acquired the nickname, Bob, by his family and friends. Robert worked at Sherman and William Paint Company in Chicago, Illinois for fifteen years. He later drove for many years for the Chicago Transit Authority where he retired. He eventually moved to Oklahoma in 2002 where he took on a temporary job driving a school bus. He leaves behind eight children: one daughter, Belbelum Ann Bell and husband James of Chicago, Illinois; and seven sons, William Carl and wife Irene of Oklahoma, Robert Bobby and wife Daisey of Minnesota, Antonio of Minnesota, Melvin and wife Coezette of Waukegan, Illinois, Rodney and wife Yolanda of Oklahoma, Toya and wife Patricia of Chicago, Illinois, and Parish and wife Lisa of Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by brothers Phillip Phil of Chicago, Illinois, Lee and Donald Buggs of St. Louis, Missouri; and sister, Deborah Deb of Chicago, Illinois. Two sisters, Patsy and June, both predeceased him. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
