Obituary

Robert (Bob) Allen Pipkin was born on July 31, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He died on June 1, 2026 after a brief illness. He graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1957 and then enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After his military stint, he attended East Central University and graduated with an electrical engineering degree.

Bob briefly worked in Dallas, Texas where he met his wife, Linda. He spent most of his career working as a civilian contractor at Tinker Air Force Base. He worked on many projects including the communication systems for Strategic Air Command Headquarters and Air Force One. After Bob retired, he volunteered and traveled. He was a volunteer at the Oklahoma Heart Institute Hospital for over 15 years. He loved spending his summers in the mountains of Colorado.

Bob traveled throughout the United States from the tip of Key West to the north of Alaska. He also ventured outside the US visiting many countries with his favorite trip being an African safari.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Linda; his mother, Mattie Pipkin; his father, Fred Pipkin; brother, Fred Jr.; sisters, Lola, Christine, and Betty, his twin; and 5 nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his sister, Yvonne, along with 10 nieces and nephews.

Bob was our friend and family member who always went out of his way to help. We will miss our "Uncle Bob."

Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Friday, 9am-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 1:00pm, at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK.
