Robert Joseph Pearson, age 39, went to be with his Lord peacefully after a very short and unexpected illness, passing on March 12, 2025. He was born to Bobby and Kim Pearson on January 25th, 1986 in Oklahoma City. Robert and his family were very active in the Boy Scouts and in 2004 Robert was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 2005. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force and reported for duty in October of 2005. Robert served as an Air Force Crew Chief for C-17s at Joint Base Charleston and was deployed twice to Turkey, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He received numerous medal citations, including a Bronze Star with Valor, and was honorably discharged in July of 2014.
He married his high school sweetheart, Amy Kyle, in September of 2006. The day after their wedding, they headed to Charleston, SC, where they remained until July of 2014. Following discharge, they moved back to Oklahoma City and started their family, adopting their three beautiful children in March of 2019. They established their home in Newalla, Oklahoma, where Robert enjoyed grilling and supporting Amy's animal habit. The family enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, as well as metal detecting at Lake Thunderbird and at their property. Robert worked until his death at Western Flyer Xpress as Truck Shop Lead.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Amy, of almost 20 years, his children, Robert Joseph, Jr. (RJ), Ailey, and William (Willy); his parents, Bobby and Kim Pearson; his brother Mitchell and wife Sarah, their 3 children Bryson, Lillie, and Elizabeth; and his grandmother, Mary Anne Pearson. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandfather, BJ Pearson, his maternal grandparents, Russell and Peggy Britt, and uncle Rusty Britt.
Viewing will be Friday, 10:00am to 8:00pm with family present from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Mercer-Adams. A Funeral to honor Robert's life and service will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 22 at 2:00pm. For those attending Robert's services, the family requests that bright colors be worn to celebrate his life. Immediately following the service, military honors will be rendered at the graveside at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery.
