Robert Chatten "Bob" Jones, age 97, of Oklahoma City, died on July 5th, 2014. He was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky to Waller and Martha Genoah (Campbell) Jones on December 15, 1916. Chatten graduated from Hanson, KY High School in 1934. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp during WWII. After marrying Marmette Williamson in 1951, Chatten moved to Oklahoma City. He worked for Federal Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1989 as their warehouse manager. A member of Trinity International Baptist Church for over 50 years, Chatten served as deacon, greeter, and usher. Following Marmette's death in 1982, he was married in 1988 to Gladys Garner until her death in 1993. He is survived by daughters, Juanette (Chris) McClure and Alicia (Craig) Cain; granddaughters, Sydney Cain, Shelby Cain, and Michelle McClure; a sister, Kathleen Rudd; and step-children, Beverly Moss, Cecil (Sue) Garner and families. Viewing will be Friday, 12pm-9pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel. A memorial service will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Saturday, July 12 at 2:30pm. Visitation with the family following the service. Donations may be made to Gideon's International and Trinity International Baptist Church, OKC.
