Robert E. "Bob" Humphrey passed in peace on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 86. Dear friend, father, outdoorsman, and golfer. Bob was born April 25, 1930 in Salem, Indiana to Grace and Earl Humphrey. Bob served his county in the US Navy for four years serving part of that time on the USS Forrest Royal. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1961. Bob started his own business, Humphrey Consultants, after retiring from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in April of 1995. He was a member of Western Oaks Christian Church. Bob spent many years volunteering for the Boy Scouts, for his sons schools, at the Oklahoma City National Memorial, and coaching youth sports. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Sue Humphrey, and his brother, John H. Humphrey. He is survived by six sons, Scott and wife Leanna of New Albany, IN, Steve and wife Sherry of Louisville, KY, Mike and wife Cathy of Louisville, KY, Troy and wife Sheila of Darrouzett, TX, Marcus and wife Nicki of Oklahoma City, and Ryan and wife Amy of Yukon, OK; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Whaley of Edmond, OK and Mary Jane Jones of Louisville, KY. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm with family present from 2-4pm at Mercer-Adams, Bethany, OK. Services will be Monday, April 3, 10:00am at Western Oaks Christian Church with interment in Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross of Oklahoma City.
