Robert Lee Hayes, Sr. was born August 7, 1936 in Rochester, IN to Charles Edward and Catherine (Bodenhorn) Hayes. He passed away at his residence on April 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ed and daughter-in-law, Laurie. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara; sons; John, Kevin & wife Teresa, Bobby & wife Shannon, and Tim & wife Ann; daughter, Patti & husband Martin; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Vicki Nolder; and brother, Tom Hayes. Robert proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was an Air Traffic Controller until 1978. Bob and his wife Barbara were the Owners and Founders of Leisure Time Pools and Spas of OKC. Bob semi-retired in 1987. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice, specifically, his nurse Delores, aide Brenda and Chaplain Duane for their compassionate care of Bob. Viewing will be held Wednesday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N.
