Robert L. Glass, 90, one of Oklahomas leading custom upholsterers and a veteran of World War II, joined his wife and his Lord Saturday while returning from Branson, Missouri.
An avid outdoorsman all his life, he replaced hunting and fishing in his later life with a passion for travel, visiting historic venues such as Washington, DC, Boston, Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields and military museums around the country. He also enjoyed the scenic and rustic locations in the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone National Park, Alaska, the canyons of Utah and other similar icons of the great American spectacular. His love for the outdoors was probably exceeded only by his love for country music, particularly such stars as Bob Wills, Hank Williams and others from "the old school."
He was preceded in death by this father and mother, George and Ruth Glass, and three brothers, George, Charles and Donald. He is succeeded by his daughter, Carol Draper; son-in-law, Lynne Draper; grandson, Robert Dane Draper and wife, Shelley; great grandson, Ethan; great granddaughter, Haley; and step-children, Earl Draper, David Draper, Douglas Draper, Dale Draper, Denise Draper, Daniel and Don Draper.
