Robert (Bob) Eugene Bode was born November 5, 1934 in Norman, OK to Joseph J. and Gertrude Bode, and died August 16, 2012. Bob lived in Greenland, AR during his childhood and moved to Oklahoma City where he attended and graduated from Mount St. Mary's High School in 1953. After attending the University of Oklahoma, Bob served in the Army for two years before beginning his 40-year career at OPUBCO. Bob was a loving husband and father. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Braun, and they were married on January 20, 1968. From this union they had a son, David, and a daughter, Deborah. Bob was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, puttering in the yard, spending time with family, and traveling with Dorothy. Bob was also a long time member of St. Charles Borromeo Parrish where he was active in Mobile Meals and Club 55. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dorothy, son, David, and daughter, Deborah. Bob is also survived by a sister, Betty Henson, a brother, Vernon Bode, and numerous nephews and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 18 at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
