Rita Mae Foster went to be with her Lord on Nov. 16, 2011. She was born to Monria Layne and Claude Coble on June 22, 1930, in Jonesboro, AR, the fifth of six children. She met Jesus Christ as a teenager and lived by His example until her death. She moved to Bethany, OK to attend Bethany Peniel College in 1950, married James L. Foster in 1951, and worked in banking as Assistant Cashier for much of her adult life. Rita was a member of Bethany 1st Nazarene Church and enjoyed participating in church-related activities. Rita loved playing with her grandchildren, giggling, shopping, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, two daughters, one son, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at 2 PM at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N Asbury, Bethany, OK 73008. Burial will be at the Bethany Cemetery.
