Obituary

Ricky enjoyed his last cup of coffee Friday, December 21st, leaving the rest of us to carry on without him. Ricky was born April 27, 1959 in Oklahoma City and graduated from Del City High School where he recently reconnected with classmates at his 40th reunion. Those missing him terribly are his father and step-mom, Jerry and Marilyn Dixon, Yukon; brothers and wives, Marty and Deanna Dixon, Minco, and Jeff and Celeste Dixon, Bolivar, MO; step-brother and wife, Brant and Jenny Norwood, Edmond; and step-sister and husband, Reagan and Michael Jacobs, Moore. Also, his special nephews, Caleb and Collin Dixon as well as many other nephews and nieces who enjoyed his quick wit and teasing; and his kitty child who is wondering where he is. He was preceded in death by his mother, Saundra Miller and his loving and devoted grandmother, Thelma J. Hicks, who was his best friend, supporter and defender. He was employed by Tribus Services and is certainly missed by his good and longtime friend, Darren Black, who had his back through thick and thin and claimed each other as brothers. Ricky had so many co-workers and Facebook friends who will miss his daily coffee postings and quips about current events. Rick was a proud Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Nimitz. He enjoyed golfing with his dad and brothers as well as co-workers. He was a huge movie fan and was often the first in line at the latest Sci-Fi premieres. If we remember every day that we could lose someone at any moment, we would love them more immensely and freely without fear, not because there is nothing to lose but only their physical presence. No more fears or false judgements my son; may a merciful God let you rest eternally in peace for you have assuredly earned the privilege. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 3:30pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel. Memorial Service Mercer-Adams Chapel Tuesday, January 22, 2019 3:30 PM 3925 N. Asbury Bethany, OK 73008
