Richard "Ricky"
Osburn
Jun 25, 1980 — Mar 24, 2025
It is with the deepest grief we announce the passing of Richard Dempsey Osburn, who passed peacefully into the arms of his savior on March 24, 2025.
Ricky was affectionately known by his childhood nickname of "Demps" by his family. Ricky was born on June 25, 1980 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The firstborn son to Robert Randall "Randy" Stout and Charlotte Ann Osburn; he grew up in Avant, Oklahoma. A spirited, strong willed, and adventurous child, Ricky loved to be barefoot out in nature. His love of nature never faded. He enjoyed hunting, taking his kids fishing, and had a love of gardening that was instilled in him by his Grandmother Rosezetta.
From his Grandfather Richard he gained a strong work ethic that stayed with him no matter where he went. Through mistakes in his youth, he spent several years in prison. These years however were not wasted, as he learned the electrical trade and worked outside on the grounds mowing or running heavy equipment.
Ricky met his wife, Gina, in 2012 and soon in 2013 they welcomed a baby girl, Forrest Rosetta-Lanette. Nothing brought him more joy than her laugh, and teaching her the things he loved. He was a naturally talented artist, who also used that skill in tattooing, giving his bonus son, Shane, his first tattoo. He was a knowledgeable mechanic, and was happy to teach and work on cars with his bonus son, J.W.
Ricky made his living in construction, remodeling and repairs and had recently started his own business. He welcomed his bonus daughter, Chenoa, to work with him over the summer, teaching her his construction trade and was so proud of her quick learning, abilities and work ethic. He had a heart for using his skills to help and better the lives of others.
Ricky had recently reconnected with his paternal family, learning about and embracing his Delaware Nation heritage.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Gina; daughter, Forrest; and the bonus kids he loved as his own, Shane, J.W., and Chenoa; along with granddaughter, Lanette, who was his gummy bear buddy of Bethany, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Beverly Walters; sister-in-law, Tammy and her husband Matt Gregory; his father, Randy Stout; mother, Charlotte and step-dad Willie Lindsey; sisters, Crystal Ward and Tonya Thompson; grandma, Mary; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ricky touched the lives of everyone he met, and will never be forgotten. Though he has gone to his eternal reward; the light, love and laughter he takes with him will be desperately missed.
