Richard "Rick" "Dicky" Lee Pardue was called home September 4, 2014. He was born on September 1, 1958 to Robert L. Pardue and Rowena Patterson in Anderson, Indiana. He married Glenda Pardue on October 29, 1986. He was a wonderful father, loving husband, outstanding grandfather and a great friend. He was a Leader of Girl Scout Troop 601. He was employed by King's Trucking for 22 years. He was a hardworking, fun-loving man, whether he was playing Frisbee golf or taking his girl scouts camping. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Glenda; his son, Justin Pardue; granddaughter/daughter, Faith Pardue; granddaughter, Kurstin Pardue and grandson, Justin John Pardue; sisters, Paula Patterson, Debra Carrington, and Robin Brown; brothers, Gary Patterson, Virgil Patterson, Archie Patterson, Jody Patterson, Robert O. Pardue, Kenneth Pardue, Steven Adams, Donald Corbin and David Claywell; several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by mother, Rowena Patterson; step-father, Virgil Patterson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claiborne and Rosalie Smith; brother, Chris Patterson; sisters, Patricia Jackson and Rita Patterson. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on 9-8-14 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service with burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
