Richard Allen Jeffries, born July 3, 1941, passed away on August 6, 2016 after a long, hard-fought battle with diabetes and Parkinsons disease. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1959 and then went on to serve in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked and retired from Dayton Tire after 29 years of service. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Berniece Jeffries, sister, Mary Ann, and brother, Edwin L. Jeffries. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 46 years, Kathryn Jeffries; daughter, Melissa Jeffries and fianc Travis Oden; sons, Bryan Jeffries and wife, Merritt, and Scott Jeffries and wife, Brandy. Richard was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Bailey, Dakota, Alexandria, Brinleigh, Trinity, Aiden and Brayden. He was a devout Methodist and loved to play golf. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm with family present from 6pm-8pm. Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2pm at Mercer-Adams in Bethany, OK with graveside following in Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, OK.
