Richard George Hill, 97, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 18, 1928, to the late Dean and Katherine Hill.

He was preceded in death by Doris, his first wife of 55 years; daughter, Donna; son, Richard; and brother, Dean. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Richard was employed with General Motors and Kerr McGee, later serving as the Deputy Director of the Oklahoma Department of Energy. He retired from the Oklahoma State Civil Defense Department.

Richard is survived by his second wife, Della; daughter, Beth and husband Rex Bell; daughter, Jan and husband Tom Fair; brother, Everett; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; nieces, Pam and Cheri; nephew, Dean; and stepdaughter, Melody.

We find hope in knowing that Richard's legacy continues through the love he had for his family, through the life examples he gave us, and through the many memories we will cherish in the years ahead.

The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for the comfort and care they provided Richard and family.

A Graveside Service was held on Friday, August 1, 2025 in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. A private family Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
