Richard Lewis "Dick" Taylor, age 62, passed away February 8, 2025. He was born November 13, 1962 in Illinois to Eleanor "Ellie" and Wesley Taylor. He spent most of his younger years in Glenview, IL until moving to Oklahoma with his parents in 1980.

Dick had two daughters, Katie Dawn Harris and Stacy Leigh Taylor, with partner Kimberly Pearl Taylor. He attended Oklahoma State University where he finished his studies in Engineering. He later joined his parents, Wes and Ellie, in starting Mercer Valve Co., Inc in 1985. Mercer Valve Co., Inc is a leader in the oil and gas industry specializing in manufacturing state of the art safety relief valves. Until his passing, Dick was active in his position as President of the company.

Dick enjoyed working, but in his free time he loved to be by the water. It didn't matter whether it was a large or small body of water or fresh or salt water. He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and other places around the world with family and friends, and also loved the thrill of speed, whether by boat or car.

Out of all his hobbies and interests, Dick's family was the dearest to his heart. He leaves behind Margaret Ann Taylor, Kimberly Pearl Taylor, Alonzo James Harris IV, Katie Dawn Harris, Stacy Leigh Taylor, Lia Marie Driscoll, Richard Wesleigh Taylor, Anthony Levll Taylor-Melvin, Alonzo James Harris V, Stacy James Harris, Simeona Leigh Taylor-Slade and Jacob James Harris.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Ann Driscoll.

Viewing will be from 9:00am-8:00pm on Friday, February 21 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, located at 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday February 22 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 3100 N. Rockwell, Bethany, OK. The graveside service will be for close friends and family only.
