Richard Lyle Creed, 82, entered Heaven on April 25, 2010. He was born Feb. 6, 1928 in Earlsboro, OK to James and Mary (Lyles) Creed. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army, Navy and Marines. He was a retired accountant and a member of Putnam City Baptist Church. A graduate of OU, he was an avid supporter of the university. On Jan. 27, 1951, he married the love of his life, Velma Marie Colbert in OKC. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2008. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bob Creed. Richard is survived by a son, Michael Creed and his wife Angela of Austin, TX; daughters, Lisa Dillon and husband John of Edmond, Sharon Dingee and husband Mark of Orlando, FL; brothers, Jim Creed of Owasso and Don Creed of Seattle, WA; and 4 grandchildren, Connor Dingee, Jonathon, Kaitlyn and Zachary Dillon. The family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Living Center, Edmond, and Good Shepherd Hospice. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Wed., Apr. 28, 10:30am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
