Rev. J. David Manuel, 79, died May 20, 2014 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 19, 1934 in Gerty, Oklahoma to Jesse and Mary (Collins) Manuel. He was a 1953 graduate of Capitol Hill High School. He was a minister of Jesus Christ and also a salesman. He enjoyed gardening when he was able. David was preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas Lee; 2 sisters; and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; sons, Michael Dwight Manuel and wife Wanda, Kenneth Robert Manuel and wife Pam, Jeffery Dale Manuel and wife Shirley, Charles Westley Manuel and wife Kimberly, Stephen Lawrence Manuel and wife Kerri; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Thursday, noon-9pm, with family present from 7-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, May 23, 2:00pm at Capitol Hill Assembly of God with interment following in Rose Hill Burial Park.
