The Reverend James (Jim) Bruce Gladney, beloved husband, father, and grandfather began his eternal life on April 11, 2024, at the age of 69. Jim was born October 8, 1954, in Globe, AZ.

Following a childhood in Bethany, OK, and graduation from Putnam City West High School, Jim eventually found his calling in the ministry, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Phillips Seminary with a Master's Degree in Divinity. Jim began his service to the Lord as Associate in Ministry at Western Oaks Christian Church, Jim was called to be Senior Minister at Mustang Christian Church in 1990 and enjoyed 7 wonderful years, before spending his final 24 years in the pulpit at Putnam City Christian Church, retiring in 2021.

Jim married the love of his life, Jana Ruth Pooler, on June 28, 1975 after several years of courtship, and their union was blessed with two children. Jim was an avid camper, fisherman, hunter, bowler, archer, motorcyclist, general sportsman, and a lifelong OU fan (Boomer!). Above all, Jim loved his family, his flocks, and his Lord.

Jim is survived by his wife Jana; a son, Joshua Gladney and wife Jennifer; a daughter, Megan Neill and husband Jay, and their children, Madison, Mckinlee, and Jackson; nephew, Andrew Pooler; niece, Rachel Arvieux and husband Aaron; niece Heather King, extended family and friends uncountable. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Adola Gladney, and brother Richard Gladney.

A service celebrating Jim's life will be held at Putnam City Christian Church, 4215 N. Grove, OKC, on Saturday, April 20, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that memorials, memories, and stories be shared and cherished by all.
