Rev. John C. Clements, Jr. passed on August 30, 2022, to meet his Savior in Heaven. John is survived by his wife, Donna, of 59 years; daughter, Alisha (Clements) Johnson and husband Lonnie; son, Darrin Clements and wife Leonda; grandson, Chance Clements and wife Jennifer; and great-granddaughter, Lillian Clements; grandson, Dustin Johnson and wife Shea; granddaughters, Amber Johnson, Loni Cox; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by youngest daughter, Traci (Clements) Banky; parents, Rev. John and Mrs. Luddie Clements, Sr.; brothers, Ray and David Clements; sister, Inez Clements; grandson, Cody Johnson; and grandparents. John enrolled at Bethany Nazarene College (BNC) to study Theology. While attending BNC, he organized The Calvary Crusaders, who traveled, holding weekend revivals across Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. During his days at BNC, he worked as a barber, becoming an accomplished hairstylist. John left school for a time to pursue his vocation, attaining the rank of Texas and Oklahoma Champion hairstylist in 1969, 1971, and 1972. However, God never let him forget his calling because God had called John to the ministry. As a result, John later enrolled at the Nazarene Bible College, earning his bachelors degree in theology. John was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene on April 16, 2004, by Dr. Talmadge Johnson, General Superintendent, and Dr. Rob McDonald, District Superintendent. John pastored Nazarene churches in Greenville, Mississippi, Paducah, Kentucky, and Eufaula, Oklahoma, until he retired from ministry in 2017. John's favorite scripture was Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."
