Rene McSpadden, 82, went home to be with her Lord on May 14, 2013. She was born March 4, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Archie and Anna (Hutchinson) Holland. She grew up and attended high school in Geary, Oklahoma. She later attended Blackwood Business College. A faithful member of Bethany First Baptist Church, she was a woman of strong faith in God throughout her life. She had a large circle of friends and, as a great listener, was always there for others. An excellent cook, she was known for her baking skills, especially her killer brownies, snickerdoodles, pecan sandies and homemade bread. She will be sorely missed. Rene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen, son, Stevie, daughter, Vicki Lynn, and grandson, Brett Littleton. Survivors include her daughter, Glenna Littleton and husband David of OKC; son, Bob McSpadden and wife Jamie of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Jill Bryant, Josh McSpadden, Jessica Lundy and Jon-Michael Littleton; and 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan McSpadden, Lydia Bryant, Caleb McSpadden, Mason Littleton, Lucy McSpadden, and Jacob Lundy. The family wishes to thank her family at Baptist Village for their excellent love and care. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Baptist Village, 9700 Mashburn Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73162. Memorial service will be Thursday, May 16, 11:00am at Kelham Baptist Church.
